Meet the friendly staff at Parkwood Animal Hospital!

Matt came to Parkwood Animal Hospital while enrolled as a student at N.C. State.  He graduated in 2007 with a degree in Biology and currently lives outside Chapel Hill. He is a competent and confident veterinary assistant, kind to our patients and handling any situation with aplomb.  He is capable of all kinds of tasks and always makes people feel welcome.

Jennifer is our Registered Veterinary Technician.  She is intuitive and takes her job seriously, while managing to bring out smiles in the other staff and clients.  She always has a kind word or treat for the pets that come through our doors every day.

"I graduated from Miller-Motte College with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology.  I have seventeen years of experience working with dogs and cats in small animal veterinary practices.  I actually started working for Parkwood Animal Hospital as an after-school kennel assistant back in 2003, and I have returned to my roots as a technician.  I have a spoiled Boxer-Pitbull named Cinnamon who is a bit of a goober."

Alison arrived at Parkwood Animal Hospital in August of 2005.  She is originally from West Virginia and moved to Greensboro where she began her career as a veterinary assistant and has remained in the field for over 20 years.  Alison has a keen grasp of animal behavior and often gives helpful advice to clients.  She helps keep the doctors running in a timely fashion and cares for our patients with great attention to each one.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Brittney is our newest team member and joined us almost 2 years ago.  She grew up as a child of the Navy, spending most of her youth in Virginia.  She has been in the veterinary field for 5 years and enjoys interacting with all of the patients who come through our doors; she always has a smile and treats.  In her off-time she is a fanatical participant in Obstacle Course Racing (both Spartan and Savage), and shares her home with her pup Rory (named after the Gilmore Girls) and 3 cats who were all littermates and decided at just four days old that Brittney would make a fine servant for them.

-------------------------------------------------------

Karmen is also a Registered Veterinary Technician and is our beloved part-time worker.  She is originally from Canada and occasionally her accent will give that away!  She is very active with quite a few kitty rescues and will occasionally be seen on our local news program highlightling a wonderful foundling for adoption.  She is kind and clever and is a caring member of our crew.  She currently has one permanent fuzzy family member named Gromit and she fosters on a regular basis.

I am the proud owner of Parkwood Animal Hospital, having recently taken the reins from the previous owner, who started this practice in 1983. This practice has a long and faithful history of serving the residences of this area, and I am delighted to continue the tradition!
